BC Ferries transports vehicles, pedestrians, cargo and visitors to and from Galiano Islands. There are three BC Ferry routes. One route leaves from Long Harbour (Saltspring Island), another from Swartz Bay in Sidney (north of Victoria) and another from the Tsawwassen Terminal in Vancouver on the mainland of British Columbia.

All BC Ferry routes vary in travel time. Some routes are under an hour while others can be as long as 2 1/2 hours by the time you unload on Galiano. BC Ferry travel time depends on departure terminal and if the scheduled route is a direct route or an indirect route making stops at Pender and Mayne Islands.

Montague Harbour Marina operates on Galiano Island providing moorage and services for recreational boats, sailboats and ocean cruisers.
