Centennial Park
Centennial Park is located in the Village of Ganges on Saltspring Island, BC, Canada. Saltspring is part of the southern Gulf Islands Group on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. The waterfront park enjoys large grass lawns, shaded trees and marine views of the harbour. It is a meeting and greeting place on the island.
Centennial Park is a popular location for relaxing, lunches, sightseeing and outdoor events. During the summer months the park is the home to a Saturday farmers market, art shows and festivals. The park is also within walking distance of the many shops and boutiques located in Ganges Village.
Within the park is a wooden lookout viewpoint with far reaching views of the marina and coastline. There is a playground for children, some sitting benches, a covered picnic area, a bandstand, washrooms, flower gardens, statues and monuments located throughout the park.
How to Get to Centennial Park
Travel to the island of Salt Spring on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada.
From Victoria (BC Ferry Long Harbour Terminal) : From the BC Ferry on Saltspring Island drive Long Harbour Road to Upper Ganges Road. Take a left at the stop sign onto Upper Ganges Road. Continue to stop sign. Turn left towards the village onto Lower Ganges Road. Follow the road into town and the park is on the waterfront.
From Crofton (BC Ferry Vesuvius Terminal) : From the Crofton BC Ferry on Saltspring Island drive Vesuvius Bay Road. At the stop sign on Northend Rd | Lower Ganges Rd take a right towards Ganges Village. Follow the road into town and the park is on the waterfront. |
