Bere Point: Scenic Views of Queen Charlotte Straight
while enjoying the comforts of crisp ocean air and glistening
beaches. Day picnic sites and 8 overnight campsites are located
on the premises. Access is from Pultenay Point Rd. onto a gravel
road for 6 km.

Beach Walk in Sointula on Malcolm Island. Kick up some
sand and walk the ocean beaches for about 10 km from the end
of Kaleva Road. See the sea birds play, and watch the cruise
ships whistle by.

Beautiful Bay Trail on Malcolm Island. Take a walk for
5 km and experience lush rain forested natural trail visiting
Malcolm Lookout, a 212 ft high Sitka Spruce, Puoli Vali Canyon,
Numas Lookout and of course Sandy Beach.

Big Lake: Bring the swimming gear and toys so to enjoy
this popular local swimming hole. This is also the trail head
for the Mateoja Heritage Trail. A great opportunity to experience
the great outdoors while walking this wilderness path. Access
off of Big Lake Rd.

Broughton Archipelago. Fantastic wildlife, wilderness
viewing of some of Canada's most remote forests among the Islands.
Whale and Black bear watching, beachcombing, sea birds over
head leading the way. Explore and discover nature in the many
secluded bays and inlets of the Islands. Located via boat. Tour
guides available.

Historic Anchor: Ancient anchor depicting the past of
the area and this villages history as a Finnish marine community.
Located at the boat harbour off of First Street.

Kaleva Road: Little traffic and a slow leisurely drive
along this road nets a wondrous show of ocean views, sandy beaches,
with the opportunity of many pull off areas for a chance to
sit back and relax in the sand surrounded by driftwood and sea
birds.

Lost at Sea Memorial: To honor the brave people lost
at sea fighting the battles of the ocean currents to establish
a community and livelihood on Sointula. Located at the boat
harbour off of First Street.

Mateoja Heritage Trail on Malcolm Island. Experience
it all, swimming hole, benches, a big lake, marshland. 3 km
trail ( 3 hour return) on a beautiful 1900's homestead transformed
into a natural wonderland. Located on 3rd Street near ferry
dock.

Michael Bigg's Ecological Reserve. A launching point
for whale watching and fantastic wildlife viewing. Located at
Robson Bight. Must book appointment.

Paul Spong's Orca Lab. For over 30 years this famous
marine biologist has studied and observed the Killer Whale in
it's natural habitat. Access by boat on Hanson Island. Must
book prior to arrival for acceptance on or near premises.

Pultenay Point Lighthouse: One of the few Lighthouses
left that is manned by humans. The friendly Lighthouse Keeper
awaits your curious exploration and questions. Access from Pultenay
Point Rd., park at close gate at the turn around and proceed
for 15 minutes down trail to the beach. From there walk the
beach for another 15 minutes until you reach the lighthouse.
