From Victoria (South Vancouver Island) : Travel north on Highway #1 over Malahat Mountain to Duncan. Continue north on Highway #1 to Chemainus. Total 75 kilometre drive. In Chemainus travel Oak Street to the BC Ferry Terminal. The sailing time to Thetis Island is 20 minutes. The BC Ferry route from Thetis Island to Kuper Island is another 15 minutes.

From Port Hardy (North Vancouver Island) : Travel south for 238 kilometres on Highway #19A to the community of Campbell River. From Campbell River continue traveling on Hwy #19 (or travel the Oceanside Route) south to Nanaimo. Continue south on either highway from Nanaimo for another 36 kilometres to Chemainus. In Chemainus travel Oak Street to the BC Ferry Terminal. The sailing time to Thetis Island is 20 minutes. The BC Ferry route from Thetis Island to Kuper Island is another 15 minutes.

Air

There are docks on Thetis Island for floatplane charters. There is a large airport servicing commercial airlines, charter planes, charter flights and helicopters north of the community of Chemainus in Cassidy, BC.
